Tenzin Gyatso, The 14th Dalai Lama:
If every 8 year old is taught meditation, we will eliminate violence from the world within one generation.
"ARC: mindfulness for children" - a meditationSHIFT course
From the very beginning, we work hard to prepare our kids for the future.
We try to teach them the fundamentals and lessons we’ve learned throughout our own lives. We want them to have a happy childhood, and become happy, productive adults.
But, have you told them about the "inner narrative" we all have? The one that sneaks up on us, overwhelms us, and bullies us more relentlessly than any other kid on the playground can?
Most of us haven’t had that conversation with our kids. We haven’t told them how compulsive and judgmental our minds are, or what they can do to keep from getting dragged around by thoughts, emotions, and the incessant chatter produced by "that voice in their heads."
"ARC: mindfulness for children" helps you do that. It allows you to lay the foundation for a strong, healthy relationship between your child and their mind. It will not only prepare them for the future, it will teach them to appreciate the present moment.
ARC is a four-week course that teaches:
Internalizing and applying these concepts will help your child experience more satisfaction and fulfillment at home, in school, and in relationships.
